i have a automatic crx as my baily driver. But i can't stand how soon it shift when i race. so i drive it like a manual when i race. i hold the gears out till 5,500 or so. as long as i don't do this alot and get the trans fluid to boil i m ok right?

 

I wouldn't recommend it at all, you keep doing that and you're going to break the tranny. I'd swap in a manual trans if you want to race, I'm sure that the automatic is pretty damn slow to boot.

 

4sp auto tranny - dont race man
