SHIFTER QUESTION!!!!!!!!
HI. i have a little question about my shifter.
when i put the shifter in any gear,
the shifter moves a lot, it moves as if it were in neutral, but it stays in gear. doesnt slip, just moves a lot.

No, that is not "how shifters are"...
Check your bushings, check the spring pin ("bitch pin") that secures the linkage to the tranny
Also inspct the sleeve at the base of the lever, where it attaches to the linkage.
Any of these things can make the shifter wobble when they shouldnt
I dont know what kinds of broken down stuff you guys have, but mine does not wobble around in gear at all

yeah either replace the bushing or tighten the actually bolt the holds the shifter and shift linkage together...but make sure not to tighten that bolt to much cause it will make it hard to get in to gear so make sure its snug and not extremly tight where u cant tighten the bolt anymore

not a do-it-yourself person?
if you have eyes, sockets, and time you can do this yourself....
(no offense..i just get annoyed at people that arent willing to try something that they can easily do themselves)

Yes, that is "how shifters are"... Maybe not as loose as the OP states, but all shifters have atleast SOME play. Just because yours doesn't move around at all, doesn't mean other people might have bushings that are more worn or small mechanical problems.
Right sure, lets lead him to believe that THIS is normal:

That is excessive and not "how shifters are"
