ridiculous shifter, need bushings?

ridiculous shifter, need bushings?
my shifter moves ridiculously. i can put it in first and i can move it so far that it looks as if its in 5th with no problem at all. How can i fix this? im thinking its the busings that go on either side of the shifter but im not postive. Any help is welcomed. Thanks

it's probably your shift stabilizer bushing that is shot if you put the car up you should be able to see if it needs to be replaced.

alright, thanks. si i should just replace the busings thats go on both sides of the shifter itself and the one thats on the shift linkage behind the shifter?

yes, i always buy energy suspension shifter bushings first everytime i get a new honda haha, also see if the bushing in your actual shifter is shot too.

on the moving shifter subject mine moves a different way. If your in a gear and you throttle it good the shifter actually moves back not out of gear but you can see it and feel if push back. Is that just the engine torquing and moving it or what?

More power, leave it in 5th, problem solved.
The linkage is bars with crappy dry-rotted bushings at either end. Basically, one end at the shifter, one at the tranny. Rev engine, it rocks. Tranny should be bolted to it, so it rocks. Bushings turn to rocks, so linkage rocks, now your shifter rocks.
Get creative, make a **** with the vibrating shifter. Use the money to buy new bushings.
