Default B swap question

Right now i have a 98 civic lx auto (d16y7). I was thinking about doing a manual swap, but its just so much work and i cant sell the car to get a manual civic. So i had the thought of getting a B18b http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...d=1,1

This comes with an auto tranny which is perfect for me. Do you think it is smart to get this and eventually turbo it. I am only looking for around 250-200whp.

i personally hate automatic cars, but in your case, it will save you some troubles. Turbo and automatic is a perfect match as the turbo will not have time to slow down much between shifts, reducing turbo lag. I don't know how strong Honda auto gearboxes are, so you might want to check into that.

no it's not worth it, and an auto to manual swap is not that hard, putting in an auto LS is actually way harder it's still a slow piece of ****

well i feel stupid because i dont even know what an auto ls is. im just the most handy and i dont want to try doing a manual swap and end up messing up my only form of transportation. My freind knows a guy who will help with a engine swap if i throw him some money, so i figure take the easy way out with the auto b18b turbo.

I can't remember his username, but there is/was somebody on here putting down ~200-250whp on the stock tranny with no problems.

i know if i ran 250hp on my current tranny it would blow up just sitting there. but i figure with the stronger tranny with the b18b it should be able to handle the extra power
