Default ITR vs. MR2 spyder

JUST TEST DROVE NEW MR2 SPYDER, NICE CAR! I HAVE BEEN THINKING OF SELLING MY 98 ITR TO GET A RWD CAR. I KNOW THE MR2 IS LOW ON POWER, BUT THAT IS EASILY REMEDIED. ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING BAD ABOUT MR2?

Nice car... isn't TRD coming out with a s/c in a year or two?

That car seriously has no trunk though...

Top Secret and Power Enterprise both have turbo kits for the new MR-S's. Very nice! Someone got a 4.54s 0-60 w/ the PE kit. At 2200lbs, you don't need much power to make them quick. I want one, but just can't fit a 2-seater in my life at the mo.

It's a nice car, when I got in one my forehead was right in line with the top of the windshield, and I'm only 5' 9". If I were ever to get one I would definitely put the veilside body kit on that thing.

I had sh tted all over one at LimeRock back in April (yes a new one) and it was my first time on a track. There are a few peeps here that can testify on this. Save yourself the headache and get a S2000.

flyin miata turbo... 12psi daily driven with no problems on the stock block. not to mention you can get a used one for as low as $1000 maybe... swap in the new more powerful engine and turbo that. if you wanna get real crazy, there's always the rotory engine you can swap in...

MR2"s are junk. my little sister has one and they are all plastic and rivits so after a while the body pannels and crap fall off! I have gone all over the car with metal rivits and held it together the best I could but that thing rattles somthing terrible! Plus the power stearing pumps on them are known to go out and believe me they are not as easy to stear as a HONDA with No power stearing!
I would deffinately go with a miata, S2K, or Z3!
(Z3 are very easy to boost! Iron blocks RULE and BOOST ownz!)

try driving a Honda that is equipped with power steering, then pull the belt off, even on fast turns it's a bitch
