Opinions on exhaust piping..
I have a buddy club spec 2.. and obviously its very loud.
and i had this idea of cutting the rear of bc2
and weld on a piece so that i could install stock or anyother muffler that fits
do you think by doing this will cause any problem?
is this idea
? or
?
i was plannin to replace the whole cat back with a different system
but i thot about this because i have limited budget.
and my goal is to be not loud, keep somewhat performance, and spend least.
THanks

i have the same exhaust set up... i found that putting the silencer in is a good way to keep noise level down to where its bearable on the streets...

If you have a stock exhaust set up, put that back on. cutting up a perfectly good BC2 would be a waste. I'm sure you could sell it.
If you a relatively stock ITR, the stock muffler provides adequate flow, while remaining very quiet.

but the problem is i have jdm length header..
so if i want to put back the stock exhaust,
i will either have to put stock header back
or get a flange inbetween header and cat.
and its harder than i thot..
so my alternative was to cut the bc2. and make stock axleback fit.
and whenever iwant, i could put back spoon axleback or any aftermarket axleback
on it.
i dunno

What actual header do you have? Just an OEM JDM 4-1? Either way, see your other post regarding fitment that I responded to.

the length of the header is irrelvant. "JDM length header", last time i checked this was the same as all OEM headers from all markets, only the diameter is different?

That is correct....
JDM headers have the larger collectors.
If anything USDM headers would be much longer given all the long tube header designs that seem to have originated here
