I purchased a new battery for my EM1 Si from kragen, I found out it was the battery was low. Everything was fine with the new battery until now and its been only 2 weeks. It struggles to start, I'm thinking its the alarms back up battey and siren are sucking up the battery. Don't think its the alternator because I pulled the negative terminal out when the car is running (could be wrong
).

the car won't start now, it makes a constant clicking noise (machine gun like), I'm thinking its the starter. What other possiblities could there be?
Not enough power will cause the clicking noise. Most likely your alternator is not keeping up. If it was your starter solenoid then it would just click once. Just have both of them tested. Its usually free.

Had the same problem - thought it was my alarm, but battery still went dead after I disconnected alarm.
After JRSC installed, the alternator was replaced, and I noted the headlights were much brighter and the windows rolled up fast. I think the alternator wasn't strong enough to keep the battery from discharging while driving, and the numerous cycling of charge eventually caused the three batteries (I went thru in two years) to die prematurely.
I'm curious to know if your alternator's the culprit.

thanks for the info everyone. Haven't driven the car the past two days now and now it has no electrical power at all. Now i really think its the alternator. Looks like I'll have to remove it and bring it to kragen

brought the car to kragen and had the starter and alternator checked. The tech guy checked and the scanner reads charging system failure or something. On the other hand, The positive terminal was really loose. Could it be that the positive terminal not being on tight, thus not able to charge? The positive terminal terminal has always been loose though
