Default Dc Sport Headers!!! On Eg6

I have a 92 civic hb with Ls swap. I was wondering which spec of Dc sport header is better. The 4-2-1 or the 4-1. I really need your opinions out there. I know the 4-2-1 gives mid-range but the 4-1 give high end but which ones is more suitable for the ls. Thanks guys for your help! Peace!

Go midrange because its not a high revving motor

4-2-1 if you're going to keep the block stock because like everyone else said, it's not a high revving motor.

But if you're planning on building it or building a reliable LS/VTEC, go 4-1.

Well, I'll disagree with some of the others on here. But I have my reasons. ACTUAL dyno test show that this is pretty much a myth. Now as most SHOULD know, EVERY motor is different depending on a lot of things. But the 4-1 design has shown just as good or even better mid range torque on some dyno test.

Personally, I'd go with the 4-1, it's a smoother design and lighter, cant go wrong.

Go 4-1 if you decide to build it for better air flow in the higher rpm range

DC headers are junk. You wont gain anything reguardless of design. It's been proven a few times now.

My suggestion would be to save for a while longer and go with a better header. You'll end up saving money in the long run, since you won't be buying another header after you realise you want something that performs better than the DC.

Go mid range, your best bet.

For future reference, 4 to 1 headers hang lower, so if you have a very low ride, its not a good idea unless you have custom weld/ fitted skid plates on the front and bottom areas of the header.

If DC sucks, what brand should one buy?

It depends upon your budget, but my choice would be SMSP.

In the price range, you'll find that most headers generally perform similarly, so DC Sports would be a decent choice. Are you looking for something that will bolt right on with no modifications or other parts needed? If so, you'll have to rule out any of the "JDM-style" headers that have larger collectors and require a modified or custom cat.

We drive econobox's with puny 4 banger motors. Even with a swap (even with a k-series), you're lucky to gain much HP off of a header. A header is a header. For all I care, I'd run an eBay header if I had a nice motor.

get the 4-2-1 good tourque, more top end.

4-1 is less tourque, but all top end you won't be happy with it especially for a daily driver.
