i did searching but oddly enough i coudnt find it. maybe i just donno how to search but does anyone know how exactly to install a short shifter. i heard it was easy but i have no clue. or does anyone have a link i can go to please lmk. thanks

what car are you switching the shifters in? because my friend and i have changed his in his 00 si from stock to short back to stock. it can be frustrating but once all said and done you are satisfied.

 

if that link doesnt help. take out ur center console, take off ur shift ****. jack the car up, undo the bolt that holds the shift linkage to the shifter( i think its a 12 or a 14). have someone sit in ur car with pliers vise grips etc. to hold the top of the bolt and get under the car with a 10, undo the 2 nuts and pull the shifter down and it will pop out. take the grommets n stuff off the old one and put em on ur new one. install is reverse, good luck

Easy install.

Figured it out without a writeup and did it in about an hour with two nuts being PIA's.

Swap the bushings while you're down there.
