you really dont need any write-ups or anything! Once you get under the car you cant see how it works. Dont tighten the last bolt that goes through the shifter it self to tight or it will be really stiff. just dont get it to loose either

i did it in 15 minutes without instructions. it's really pretty simple if you just logically take into account what you're doing.

FYI, the rubber piece under the shift boot can sometimes be a pain, but you need it on.

FYI:The link above makes it harder than it needs to be..

Inside the car, just remove the shifter ****..
Under the car, take out the bolts as numbered..

I just changed my shifter this morning. When I bought my CRX, the previous owner cut down the stock shifter and it didn't seem to shift right. I took a stock uncut shifter from a CIvic at the junkyard a couple weeks ago and just installed it this morning. Easiest thing I've ever done! Those instructions in the above link are good to follow! Have fun!

Vaguely and Noobily explained how i did it ...

Remove ****, shifter console; which has 4? screws , dust boot etc. Drop the midpipe from either end. remove the heatshield.

Remove the shifter rod pin and bolt. Remove some more random bolts . Then the three, which have no hex heads on top(sitting in the car you see them) just oval shaped; are a pain if they are rusted. Well remove those, drill them out if necessary and replace with regular bolts and nuts when reinstalling.

Pull out stock shifter. Installation opposite of removal blah blah... Use their rubber o-rings and bushings and lube up to prevent notchiness. Make sure shiftrod bolt is tightened good or you'll get stuck trying to find a nail to put in there when you're stuck on the highway after you pull over realizing you can't shift out/into gear lol.
Bend the heatshield if the shifter is hitting it/making noise.

lousy writeup, but gives u an idea what ur in for.
