The tint on my car looks like crap (its bubbling up, and purple) Shops around here want to charge me 125-160 to remove. How hard is it to remove the old tint and what would I need in order to do so. Thanks-
The way i did it on my friends car is we parked the car in a sunny area so the windows would heat up and then we took a razor peeled of the tints used Windex to wet the glue and scraped it off with the razor it wasn't hard just time consuming
not hard, i helped a friend remove his old tints on his ford escort.
all you need is a razor, BUT once you peel the tint off there will be a bunch of old dried up glue. it gets really frustrating taking it off cuz it comes off in little chunks but u can try using a hairdryer to heat the glue up and then just roll it off (not sure if it'll work)

abunch of maybe and no sure answer.
side window: windex and blade, use a heat gun, it works better than park undersun or head dryer method. heat it up evenly and you can get all the whole piece out alongs with most of the glue.
the rear/defroster: use head and windex but this time use XXX(very fine) steel wool to remove the glue, it will be mess and tiring unless you have a hatch but around 2 hours will get everything off
