Guess your weight!
was driving past a salt truck statioin last night and rolled up onto the giant scale.
i weighed in at:
2642lbs.
half tank of gas/driver(197lbs.)/dx exhaust mani with cat(20lbs.) sitting in the trunk.
its a 98' with no ac/ rear gutted (still have plastics/speakers)
I'm just curious what other peoples weights are. I plan on gutting it some more, but for the most part i was pleasently suprised.

is that the weight of a civic?
But more on topic, have you guys ever tried to corner weigh the car on the big scales? I know that it is not the most exact method as the other tires are still on the ground, but do you guys think it can eve give a rought estimate?
We have some scales out here that nobody ever works at...

hmmmm... carputer, basstube in the trunk strapped to a rear strut bar, radar detector, 4 cell mag-lite, stuffed full glovebox, crap in the armrest, misc HID crap x4.... oh, but I have a Carbon fiber hood. That should about break me even.... Yeah right

That was on a GSR chassis. Fiberglass hood, CF roof skin. Everything gutted possibly.

Same scale, my 2001 was 2490 lbs. Full interior, no driver, no spare/tools, no muffler, gas on the last mark before empty.

mine without me in it, but with full interior, spare, tools, CD's, coats, shoes, airbags, power steering, the lot, and half a tank of fuel weighed in at 1111kg or 2449lbs on corner weighting scales
