i keep reading on how cleaning my fitv & iavc can could get rid of my idle surge problem. i got a good idea wut they are but i wanna be sure, and also wut can i clean them with. iv never encountered this problem before so im clueless

is it that thing with the black cap on the back of the intake manifold? my homie told me thats it n i should clean but i dunno, hes given me sum dumbass advice before

yes that is it, the best thing to use would be carb cleaner, give it a healthy dose and then let it dry before puting it back on

 

ok i cleaned it out. let it dry before i put it back on n its still idles the same. its pissing me off more n more everyday. also the throttle body is off a 92-93 integra, could that have sumthin to do w it?

what exactly is your car doing? idle just jumps? more details. you have a vacuum leak?

 

wen i turn it on it idles at 2k. then after it warms up it just surges from 1-2 1/2. and now wen i drive it cold it sputters bad. and it just dies on my out of nowhere, for no reason the motor just shuts off n all the dash light come on but it starts right back up. i chekd for vacum leaks but didnt find anything.

the sputtering could be the dizzy. wen i had my da it was doing the same thing but i replaced the plug wires n fixed the problem....idk im stumped on this one????
