Default Tranny Revs when Upshifting

It revs up a few 100 rpm right at the end of a gear then sinks into the next one, whats the deal and any idea how long I have left on this tranny? Anything I can prolong it with?

I hit like 105k just today, god damnit, what a piece. Damn GM slushbox can go to hell. Any idea how long I have or at what point it becomes undriveable? Would trans additives or changing the fluid help? What did you do when this happen to you?

I'm really thinking H22 5spd swap. Think I should call honda and see what they say?

They're probably going to tell you they'd be glad to replace your tranny for the same price you could obtain that H tranny and engine swap.

What I did was got a flush and put in half a bottle of Transmission Fix, made by Lucas. It shifted smooth for a few months and then started slipping bad. Now it's just sitting in front of the house dead. I'd swap over to an H22 5 speed, or at least do an auto to manual conversion.

I would start taking precautions now, if you aren't having problems yet. Someone suggested getting a tranny cooler, when you park your car push the brake, then pull the E-brake, THEN put your car in park. Also, get a tranny flush and put some Lucas Transmission Fix in with the fluid. This will prolong the life of your tranny.

I talked to a friend used to be a sales manager at a Honda dealership, big car buff in general, he thinks my tranny just needs fluid changed or serviced. The 4 banger trannys aren't supposed to go out, the v6 is the one with trouble. Salvage you asked for it with the nitrous shot however I only have an intake so I'm not crunching much of anything above stock numbers through this.

Yea, you have just an intake but there are guys here with completely stock cars that don't even make it. The whole transmission itself is crap, whether the 4cyl or V6. They changed the design to a GM design so it has a smooth shift, and the gears are all crap. You can try doing a flush and see what that does for you....maybe you will luck out.
