91 EX No Spark
I have a 91 EX coupe auto. Just quit running one day. Cranks fine, and is def getting fuel. It IS NOT getting any spark at all. I tried pulling codes, and check engine light just stayed on solid. It has a PT3-A72 ECU with out the LED view. I bought a matching # ECU off ebay, and it does have the LED on the ECU???? I tried starting it late last night, no spark and battery pooped out before i could try and get a code. Will see what i get later, but any other suggestions??
Are you getting power to the coil on the Black/yellow wire when cranking?
Have you checked for ignitor pulse when cranking?
Is the ground at the T-stat housing clean and tight?

The ground is good. I am charging the battery over night. Didnt have time today to mess with it. I can test black/yellow tomorrow. How do you check for ignitor pulse? Thanks
What about the whole solid CEL when checking for codes? And what is up with 2 computers having same #'s 37820-PT3-A73 And one has LED window and one does not? I though solid CEL was bad ECU. I havent been able to check with new ECU yet.
Ok it no longer has a solid CEL, but still no spark. Checked grounds again and they are def good. There is constant power to black/yellow wire at distributor. It fluctuates when cranking but stays above 10 V.

I got it running. I took an ignitor from a junk f22a External coil motor, and borrowed a coil from a b18 distributor. Probably was igniter. thanks for the help hondadude. Hard to get replies if it is not about lambo doors, or JDM turn lights. lol
