Default piston/valve clearance with rs machines pistons in b20vtec

im wanting to know if it will be safe to run rs machines oem itr replica pistons in a b20 vtec with gsr cams on a b16 head. also, im pretty sure the piston/valve clearance would be ok with this setup but i was also wondering how much i could mill the head without bumping the compression to high or having to deal with clearance issues. thanks in advance

maybe you should ask rs machines?

but if its setup as stock with gsr cams there should be no clearance problems.

The RS pistons were made just for that combo. They have the bigger reliefs to clear the valves with just about any cams you want.Your cam timing would have to be way off in order for the valves to hit the pistons .Infact the valves will probably hit each other first before hitting the pistons.

Why would you need to mill the head? compression is pretty high with that set-up already.

how much you can mill depends on the rest of your setup. If you'll have adequate clearance between the p2h and the p2v after milling then you'll be fine.
