Difference Between OEM OBD2 Fuel Injectors???
Hey Guys, searched but no luck. I dropped one of my 99 CTR B16B Fuel injectors and its now damaged. Is there any difference between any STOCK B Series Fuel Injectors; OBD2 B18C GSR, B16B Type R, B18C Type R, B16A Si and B18B LS/GS. I heard they're all the same, I also heard supposedly Type R Injectors are "Larger" or better then non Type R Injectors. What would be a good replacement Injector besides the B16B Injector I damaged? Could anyone clarify this, help me out? Thanks for your feedback!

all b and d series have the same injectors.. cx and type r are the same..
the obd-1 are all the same too but have different plugs..

OBD1 and OBD2 plugs are different. but the injector rates can be different, too. most of the injectors are like 240 cc, but some of the d-series ones are 180 or so. make sure you've got the right ones or you'll run lean/rich.
if you want good injectors buy a set of RC Engineering balanced ones, or dig up a set of used working injectors and send them to RC.

Humm...well is it correct to assume that MY B16B Civic Type R Injector is a 240cc? And are all B/D Series Motors Injectors 240cc, so that I could just get an Injector from an OBD2 D15, B20, B18B/C, B16A/B ? Thanks!

No offence, but do you have any proof of this? I've looked around for years now, for some kind of specific proof that shows what injectors flow at what cc. I've searched all over the internet and all I can find are typed out lists of different injectors, but no one has provided any kind of real testing results. And every list I've seen on forums seem to have completely different info (even 2 different lists on the same forum, including here at H-T). And the only info I have found that seems legit is that the injectors for different engines have different part #'s (different '92-'95 Civics have different part #'s from other '92-'95 Civics). I would absolutely love to see someone post up some flow results for D-series and B-series injectors.

neg on that. my single cam non-vtec is running like 180/190. dunno about actual figures, probably less due to blockage. i'm inclined to think that only non-vtec d-series motors have the lower flow injectors. everything else should flow the same whether they actually be 220 or 240.
though, i've found a catalog on ACCEL DFI for injectors. and it supports my thoughts. PDF LINK

Wow guys, great discussion. Allot of interesting points and conversation. I guess I might try to ask the local Honda/Acura Dealer and see if they would know. I could ask about a USDM ITR, I would assume it would be the same as my JDM CTR.
Does anyone by any chance know the Honda part number for a JDM 99 Civic Type R Fuel Injector?
Update... Part Number is 06164-P2J-000 - 2000 USDM Integra Type R
This part number does differ from an Non Type R Fuel Injector so there has to be some difference. LS and GSR Part Number for a 2000 Integra is 06164-P72-010.
Any thoughts guys? Guess I'll go with USDM ITR Injectors which are only sold in sets...haha

we been using d-series injectors on b-series motors for years.. if you putting a obd-1 motor in a obd-2 car why cut the harness when you can just use your civic ones.. even if your using a obd-1 computer.. they all the same.. we put type r motor in a ek and used the cx injectors on the type r motor.. with a obd-1 computer.. sure i could of changed the plugs on the harness and use the type r injectors but y?
Well I rewired my whole Civic SOHC Non-VTEC OBD1 Harness to work with the OBD2 B16B motor, so it's allot more then just injectors, that's why I changed the plugs on mine. I heard from a member on http://www.jdmcoupecouncil.com that the Type R injectors are 270cc, and all other B series where 240cc and the part numbers from Honda differ so there has to be some difference. Can anyone confirm?
