emisissions suck i need help
i have a 00 integra type r turbo charged and im running hondata with a obd 1 ecu when i go to emissions it fails because it says failure to read obd 2 my car has 3 inch exhaust and no cat does any one know how i could get to pass please help thanks
Well for what it sounds like you're going to need some work. If you live in a state where he need to read the obd2 and have tail pipe sniffed like here in cali.
1) Get a obd2B for a 00-01 ITR Ecu P73
2) If the above ECU was originally from your ITR then skip the next part.
3) If the ECU was not from your car then take new/used ecu to a acura/honda dealer or some locksmith to have your chip key to repogramed to your new/used ecu.
4) Get a CAT. not a high flow cat. cause the flow rate is to fast to clean air.
try above if still failed do 2 emmision.
get ready to remove turbo kit.
and find a smaill dia. exhust.
Best of luck.

I've been there!
If you go back to a stock ECU, you need stock fuel injectors and fuel pressure too. Don't boost like that, might want to disconnect the charge pipe, but you can break your turbo like that too
Otherwise, get re-tuned on E-Manage with your stock ECU. That option sucks too.
You could move to somwhere that doesn't require emissions, or sell the car. Might be easier.

HA!
No, if you use E-Manage, you can keep OBDII and your stock computer. That's all I'm saying. You can fail for a gazillion other reasons, but you should be able to run your stock computer without any CEL's (plus or minus a barometric pressure sensor code)
