Possible alarm for Honda guys with P/S?

How would this work? Wouldn't there be a chance of the airbag being set off with this?

Holy hell! That thing is NUTS! I would think (let's not even consider the airbag for a moment) that woudl damage the HELL out of your steering system. From camber to ball joints up through the knuckles and such...not that it would be going off all the time but the sheer thought that it would would scare me...now on to the airbag topic...I would think that the only way it would cause the airbag to go off would be if the wiring were bad inside the column or something because there would have to be some kind of heat/spark to get it going...but I personally would NEVER do that...too crazy.
EDIT*** Not to mention I'd hate to think of the posibilitys of what can happen if that thing malfunctions when you're driving down the highway.

Isn't it the same risk with a a fuel pump kill (going 80+ on the highway and poof); or even Clifford blackjax?(where the system will make a car a vegetable)?
Stupidest idea ever....
And no, a fuel pump kill switch is not nearly as dangerous... At least when fuel cuts out on the highway, you'll still be able to stop & steer off the road...

If your fuel kill fails at 80mph or any other mph absolutely nothing bad will happen to your engine. It's the same thing as running out of gas, which I have done at freeway speeds before and I had no trouble coasting to safety.

So is it really an anti-theft feature or did they mess with the steering rack to make it do that?
