PCV black box fitting size D-series
I wanna remove the black box on my D16y8, and connect a fitting to the port, and have it connected to a vented can.
I know on the B-series, its like a 34.2m size fitting. Does the D16y8 block have a port where you can fit a drain plug or some kinda NPT fitting?

Nope. Only crankcase port that a D-series has is the one the blackbox breather chamber is connected to. B-series peeps have it easy b/c they can just plug that port w/ a 34.3 mm freeze plug available anywhere and then put a fitting in each of the 2 spare ports on each side of the oil filter.
Some D-series peeps plug the breather chamber port and drill/tap 2 holes into the block to act as vents, which is what I'm going to do. Sooo....
BUMP IF ANYONE OUT THERE, ANYONE AT ALL, KNOWS FOR SURE THE SIZE OF THE BLACK BOX HOLE ON A D-SERIES

yea its a part of the PCV system. I want to put a fitting there too but i'm unsure what size to get. Also i'm pretty sure the black box just kinda gets jammed in there and its not a threaded fitting. these guys sell this which would confirm what i just said.

id say find a freeze plug or a fitting thats 27mm and call it a day. ive heard multiple running fine w/the port plugged w/no holes tapped for ventilation. if u do that i would suggest u make a few extra ports on ur valvecover for all of the extra pressure ur gonna get

the thing is, this fitting doesn't thread on to the block it gets pushed in and out just like the black box does. I'm glad we had someone figure out what size it finally is though.
I think i'm going to run an O-ring and use JB to hold that sucker in place.
