ok my friend bught a 90 civic. he recently just replaced the motor with a jdmd15b. it hasnt be converted to multipoint or anything. a mechanic came and put the motor back on timing. and it started for a second. then it sputtered out and died. now the car is geeting fuel but no spark. we changed the plugs and wires gapped them. and still no spark. the go who sold him the motor said the distributor was brand new but not gettin spark. car has been down for about 2 weeks and he already lost his job. due to this. any suggestions will help. thnaks in advace

 

You can't use the D15B distributor with the DPFI system.

he is using the d15 distributor off his old motor

 

Then you didn't change out any of the external parts, so for all relativity its a D15B2 with a "nice " head. Did you check the internals of the distributor to see if they are all operating correctly? (Igniter, Coil)
