headgasket troubles

Default headgasket troubles

ok guys so yesterday i just finished my turbo install on my em1.. everything went almost perfect.. we were just getting ready to tune it and we went to start the car and about the fourth time it turned over, but i heard dripping sound. i looked under the car and there was a big puddle of oil... so we shut it off and checked to make sure all the oil lines were on. we ended up pulling off the head and to find out that my brand new mls headgasket was bent.. in bent on the rear right headstud it like crushed down in there and didnt seal and thats what caused the oil to come out.. any ideas on what caused this? TIA

To much oil pressure...the Gasket was the weakest link! (good bye)!!!

its didnt even start for 30 seconds before it happened and it didnt blow. when we took it off it was just bent down inside where the headstud is..

I don't think u torque them in the right torque order.

probablly didnt use the right torque sequence. also... maybe the head needs to be resurfaced.

i already stated that we did it was done buy a guy who works on hondas every day and he had the book right in front of him ase cert. that is not the problem

maybe try using copper spray the next time. it helps to seal the gasket.

If you deny everything like you think you know already... Why come here at all. You didn't torque in the right order. Tell Mr. ASE to re-read the order again!
