Default ls and gsr identification

so i a have a 94 b18b tranny sitting next to a supposed gsr tranny. i got both their bellhousings off and im looking at both of them.my intentions are to swap out the internals of the b18b tranny for gsr guts. my only problem is is that im looking at booth of their guts and i dont know if its just me but they look identical. is there a proven way to insure that i have an authentic gsr tranny?????? im doing the internals today

I remember reading somewhere that the LS and GSR ring gears are not interchangable on their respective differentials. (GSR being bigger I believe).

P.S. - Wanna sell that LS case when you're done?

I believe the differential carrier bearings are different sizes.

You should be able to cross reference them at acuraautomotiveparts.org
