which tranny? LS or GSR?

my friend has a b18B long block with 9.1:1 pistons and a drag3 kit
which tranny is best for him?
LS tranny for $450
or GSR tranny for $650
or a GSR tranny with 4.4 final drive for $750

FYI, all GSR trans come with 4.40 final drives. Only the LS comes with a 4.20.
BTW, search, we've discussed this literally at least 10 times in great depth.

opps didn't know about the GSR was 4.4...
doing a search really didn't give a good answer...it was still mixed opinions..
i wanna try to get a pretty firm deciscion..i don't want ny friend to end

high boost like 18psi??? go LS
anything less go w/ the gsr. If it is an all out track car go gsr or look into the ol' b16's!!!! you can get a better deal on the ls i think btw.

Also depends on whether he has a cable LS tranny or not....cable LS's are 4.4 FDs with a higher 5th, but all the other gears are numerically lower.
