y8 tranny z6 engine will it work????
i know this is kind of a noob question but i gotta ask this. i have a crashed 94 ex with the z6 the tranny is on its way out the door and im going to swap that engine into my hatch hopefully boost and i dont need a bad tranny. will it work for me to take the engine out and get a y8 tranny an just swap them???
Yes, y8 will work. All 92-00 D series trans are interchangable.
But why a y8? the Z6 has slightly shorter gears. The Y8's are slightly longer.
