i know that if you put 3rd and 4th gears in a z6 that it helps alot and that the gearing of the y8 and z6 are pretty much the same. but what i dont know is that if they will go into the y8.

y8 has slightly shorter gearing in 2nd. y8 has flimpsy steel forks. z6 has supposedly even flimpsier aluminum ones.

correct me if i switched them up.

The steel forks in the Y8 are pretty good. The Z6 aluminum forks suck.

Could be a number of different things. Traction, driving skill, condition of engine, aerodynamics, etc. You ever dyno your car?

Hey you are in Tampa, huh? What part?

Cool. I live off of BB Downs Blvd myself. Do you ever go to any meets or races around here? I haven't been out in awhile cause I was rebuilding my D16 and now I don't know where anyone goes.
