b18b/turbo... or B20b/Turbo??? in a del sol
i want to go non-vtec/turbo... and im thinkin more on the b20 side.. its cheaper and its a larger motor so it will respond more to modification since its a higher litre.. i plan on goin with arias 8.1 pistions.. and crower rods and a drag 3 kit.. but i am just looking for suggestions on which motor would be better??

If you get the b20, you'll have a very hard time finding all the stuff to go with it. Buy the LS and turbo it. Then later buy the b20 block and build it, then just swap blocks and you'll be golden. Sell the LS block to someone with lsvtec dreams.
If you buy the b20, then you will have to find a tranny, a intake manifold, and wiring harness(b20 wont work). Also get the b20z as it comes with a knock sensor, and is about 20 more hp then the b20b.
tranny is not a problem.. now why will i need an intake manifold.. why wont the b20 intake manifold work? also about the harness.. you said the b20 harness will not work.. why.. i know alot of qustions.. sorry... and why the b20z block?? 9.6 vs. 8.8 in the b20b block.. im turboin... need the lower compression.

the b20z comes with higher compression, a knock sensor, and more agressive cams, which are actually the same as an LS.
You cannot use/will need on the b20:
timing side mount
wiring harness
intake manifold
b series flywheel(i've never seen a 5-speed crv, all the ones I see have flexplates)
and misc other stuff.
You really need to have an entire LS swap at your disposal to do a b20 swap.

my vote is on the LS...... 9.2 compresion will be ALOT better then the cr in the b20. And you will not have to change the pistons.
