Default b20+drag turbo kit, have a coupel questions

iv been told a b20 is very similar to a b18b an b18bs go well with turbo , so will a b20 go as good on turbo , what parts whould you ad to a drag kit goin on a b20 in a 97 hatch , i no i get a sunk2/ls intake manifold, now what else whould you ad wihtout doin internal stuf just to make it reliable an safe , how much boost could you run on just that setup an what kinda numbers whould that produce, and whould this be any better than just goin with a b18c1

thanks
an sorry for all the questions

b20 wont help top horsepower numbers, but it will give you more torque. This is what jeff told me at importbuilders.com. If i were u , i would have importbuilders.com built your block and head

I dont see why it wont give more peak hp? I can understand it not being much different, but the B20 has 9.4:1 compression plus more displacement, I would assume it would make more hp and torque..

B20 motor should make more hp. The B18B makes 140-142 hp stock. The B20Z stock with the stock LS intake manifold makes around 160. Thats around 10% more hp.

it will give HP aswell but most peeps doing b20 often are going for TQ. is it a b20b or b20z? b20b is 9.4:1 and the b20z is 10:1. just add a b16 head since you want to go turbo skunk2 or itr manifold and a full drag kit for an si thats all beside the basic bolt on like fuel, ignition, etc.etc. a stock b20 from top fuel ran 11's and made over 300 to the wheel and the TQ was almost the same. but if you really want to fully build a motor i would go to either importbuilders or AEBS in san diego (this place is real exspensive).

is it true that the b20 block is similar to the h-series and f-series block where as you would need to sleeve it if u want to run aftermarket forged pistons like JE? Or are they like the b16 and b18 where you can just intall the pistons on stock sleeves

Actually its somewhere in between the two, you can keep stock sleeves when you replace pistons but it doesnt hold up as well under higher than 10psi of boost.
I have a question, is the B18B head a direct bolt up to the b20 block?

LS Head is the same thing as the B20 Head. I used my LS head on the B20 block. And as for it not holding well over 10 psi, I'm running 16-18 PSI on the stock B20 sleeves with the JE pistons.

mind if i ask what kind of #'s you are producing? i am curious to see if this is going to be an engine that i want to stick with, or if i want to toss my car.
