Y5 = Hx
Y7 = Cx/Dx/Lx
Y8 = Ex

What did a Y6 come from?

And even though your VTEC isn't wired, it will not cause this kind of idle problem.

There is no Y6, there is only Z6, from the 92-95 (obd1) Ex\Si coupe\hatches.

As for you idle, has nothing to do with VTEC what so ever.

Your IACV is bad, clogged, or out of whack. Either clean it out, or replace it.

There is a D16Y6, but it's not USDM. It's from New Zealand and Russia as far as I know. Possibly other markets.

Sorry for the off topic.

So what is it then? As in...non-VTEC, VTEC, and VTEC-e...? Thanks for the info though.

SOHC VTEC. Sounds a lot like a Y8.

I understand. I was just trying to clear up the confusion when people thought that there was no such thing as a D16Y6. I said sorry for the off topic (which was brought on because of a typo on your part it appears), but there was another question regarding it.

So, back on topic then.
