Door Panel Question
Hi there, now that spring is just around the corner, I wouldn't mind rolling my window down. the problem is the drivers side window appears to come off the track but I'm unsure on how to get the door panel off. This is for a 2000 DX Hatchback,
thanks for any help.

Fairly easy to take off, should be a screw in the inside door handle, one on the inside of the armrest. You'll need to take the manual mirror adjuster off also, think that will just pop off. After you get the screws out you can just basically pop the trim panel off, there will be a series of clips running around the inside of the panel, be careful not to break them. When you get the panel loose, you may have to disconnect the door handle/lock rod to get the panel fully off. Just look all over the panel for screws, there maybe more than just the two I pointed out, some panels have 2 screws in the armrest, some have screws on the bottom of the panel.
The inside door handle? If you mean the inside, you shouldn't need to remove it from the panel, there will be 2 rods on the backside, one for the lock and one for the handle, and 2 plastic clips that snap around the rods. Just push the 2 plastic clips off of the rods, then pull the rods out of the hole they are settled in. If for some reason you need to get the inside handle off of the trim panel then it should just pop out, usually they just pop right out.
But if you're talking about the window handle (which that's the most annoying part, and I forgot to put that in last post) they have a "horse shoe" clip. The easiest way to get these off is with a trim panel tool specially made for door window handles. You have to find out how the "horse shoe" clip is on there and slide the trim tool between the trim panel and handle, and slowly push the clip out, if you push too hard it'll fly off and you could possibly lose it...so slowly is the key. Once you get that clip off the window crank will just come right off, then when putting it back on you slide the "horse shoe" clip back in place (while the handle is off the panel) then line the handle up (window up) and push it on, you'll here it click.
