This is probably a dumb question, but I'm not exactly the smartest person with cars and I have a question about the transmission for my 94 automatic prelude si. It's the non-vtec one. Every once in a while (I drive in D4 gear by the way) it will stick in 1st gear and revs up like crazy and gets up to like 6000 to 7000 rpm's. My friend is dumb and told me to just shift down and work my way up but i don't wanna drop my transmission or anything like that. Will I need to get a whole new transmission? Or is there a smaller part of the transmission that I can get fixed or replaced?
