Default Im sorry but this is anther bogging thread...

Ok the crx was running fine, stop at a light and when i take off it starts bogging really bad. I have searched and came up with the following posibilities:
1. tps- i have already checked it and it functions within specs
2. Oxygen sensor- disconected it and it made no difference
3. Just replaced fuel filter
4. Replaced cap, rotor, spark plugs and wires
5. rotated crank manually and everything lines up
6. poured injector cleaner

With one turn of the key i hear the fuel pump prime, im leaning towards a fuel problem since it only bogs before 2k, over 2k it runs fine but has a lot of trouble getting over 2k.

This is on a crx si, original d16a6 throwing NO codes.

Any ideas people????

hey, i got the same bogging but only after driving for a while. it typically bogs when my CEL comes on (code 1, o2 sensor). mine is more of a violent bog/jerk. i noticed my power starts coming back when i near 3k rpm. d15b6, stock.

im going to change out my IACV to see if that gets rid of it. have you check yours? is your bog always present?

btw re: CEL - i changed the o2 sensor. i may be in the wiring, not sure yet.

distributor was replaces a few months ago, timing has not been touched for whoever knows how long.

Yeah the bog is always present wether hot or cold. i do not think the iacv has anything to do with the car bogging, that just controls the idle

i read up on another thread and i'm going to change my main relay. i know its going bad or is bad but had no idea that it effected the fuel pump.

Bogging eh? Try someone else' distributor. Just cause you just replaced it doesn't mean it wouldn't go bad. It was probably a remanufactured one. And check your timing. Don't just assume nothing happened. Your belt could have skipped teeth.

I have the same problem with my B16 crx.. I think it's fuel, because if I give it too much gas under 2k it bogs/jerks. If I only give it a little gas it's fine.

I'm going to try some injector cleaner and get back to you

I had the same problem with my civic, It was bogging and not throwing any codes. Try opening the dizzy cap, there should be a black and yellow wire around there. Remove it and put it back again, I did it to mines and all the bogging and jerking stop immediately.

ok im gonna try that, im also going to buy a timing gun and see whats up with the timing, i highly doubt its a fuel issue
