Dead battery
I have a civic with a built boosted motor and every time I go to drive it there isn't enough juice to start it. It isn't dead cuz the alarm arms and disarms. I am also running a GPS on this so could it be the GPS killing the battery? Anyone else have this prob I just replaced the battery about 3 months ago but the prob still happens. It is a basic battery nothing special like a optima or anything, should I invest in one?
Even the fanciest and most expensive battery will not last if it isn't being charged sufficiently or has a constant parasitic drain on it. BTW, there may be enough juice to operate the low current devices like lock solenoids, but not enough for the starter motor to spin the engine. You need to determine if it's getting a proper charge, or if it's being drained while parked, or if the current battery is just too shot to hold a charge. I can't do that from here.
Well I had this problem so I replaced the battery! But it's still happening so I'm not sure. But I mean I'll charge it for around 2 hours and it will run when I drive it around for 1/2 hour to an hour. Then I get in it the next day and it doesn't have enough power. But thanks for the help!
