Default longest vacuum hose length possible?

im redoing my vacuum system, and everything is runnign to a catch can at the front of the car. Question is however, im using 3/8th ID hose, about 20ft of it. It goes from the PCV valve, to the IM. is this causing a negative effect on my PCV system>? I assume its under powered because the added length of the hose=more restriction, so instead of pulling say "20"hg its pulling around 16"? or does it not really matter on the length of the hose?

I just dont wanna blow a seal in teh crank because the vacuum on teh PCV system was not sufficient.

The extra length won't reduce the amount of vacuum. It will however affect how quickly that vacuum is applied to the end connection. The extra length acts sort of like a reseviour for air. Don't know if it's enough to affect your application.
