Default Question about rods...

I bought some forged rods for my d16z6 over a year ago and never got around to using them.....now today I had some stock b16a rods show up and they are nearly identical....My question is could I use my forged d-series rods in my b16?

b16 and d16 rods are not the same length. they are not interchangeable.

a mm or two makes ahuge diffrence, it will cause the car to have NO power or the motor wll explode from the piston hitting the head. these motor's don't exactly have a lot of rom to play in them. trust me, not just the length is neccessary to mount those rods in the motor, you also have to take into account piston pin size, crank end girth, and bearings. do the rods even use the same size crank (journal diameters) I suggest not using htem, but if you do, please post pics of the motor after you destroy it trying to turn it over.

I thought that the different size wrist pis were because they are floating style vs. press fit

the pin diameters are different
d16 rods are 137 mm length
b16 rods are 134 mm length
it changes the compression, r/s ratio ect
if you have any ?? regarding certain rod lengths try http://www.zealautowerks.com
& plug in the #s
