Need some info about my gas tank
I haven't ran my car in about 2 years. I had everything removed because I was going to put a turbo kit on my car (1998 Acura Integra GSR) and then moved away to go to college. I have decided not to install a turbo and returned everything to stock. I didn't think about the gas that was in the car and since it has been 2 years I believe the gas to no longer be useful. I looked all over the internet to see if there was anything on there on how to remove the gas tank but I cant find anything. I was going to remove the gas tank and clean it out. Is this what I have to do or is there something else? Thanks for looking and hoping to hear some comments from some of you integra gurus.
i would drain it out but i would guess theres some sort of fuel stabilizer you could put it to run it out then throw in some good gas
there is a drain plug in the gastank its covered in undercoating from acura though.its pretty easy to see, it is a 17mm i think. i dont think u will have a problem with any sludge at this point. my car sat for like 3 years and when i went to get the fuel pump out of it there wasnt any sludge
