SPUN ROD BEARING???? What to hear for...
I think that there is something wrong with my motor. Ever since i busted my headgasket, which i replaced about two weeks ago, I keep hearing a constant ticking noise that goes away after 2500rpm. The ticking noise is at its highest right start up. All this noise started as soon as warped my headgasket.
FORGED honda H22 TURBO
!.) the motor idles fine
2.) IT still response well when at booost.
3.) oil dip stick shows no shiny metal bits
4.) COMPRESSION TEST was good
5.) Valves clearence was good

Do you need a vavle job buddy? Ticking usually occurs when vavles become loose. Knocking sounds would be that of a bearing.
Yeah typically you KNOW when you spun a rod bearing.. I know when I spun two it sounded like someone beating on my engine block with a sledgehammer
