Default /////////////////Rim Question, 17x7.5

i really don't understand offsets very well, but i'm look at a set of 17 x 7.5's with a either +45 offset or a +48 offset.

i want a big lip, and if i'm not mistaken, the +45 will be like 2.25" right?? what would the +48 be?

These are the rims

you got it backwards I think, the lower the number, the bigger the lip. I may be mistaken, but I think thats how it goes.
