Leaking Coolant
I was going to install my short throw but when i was jacking up the front of my car, the jack slipped and craked a hose and it is leaking coolant. can i patch this up somehow or do I need to replace this piece???
where is the coolant leaking from. Don't do a half assed job patching a hole in the line, just get a new line. Youll be repatcing that hole over and over, and if it goes whjile your driving you could do some serious damage to your engine.
that sucks.. how did the jack slip? I would just replace the hose w/ a new one.. it shouldn't cost that much and then you dont have to worry about the problem resurfacing/the patched hole leaking... IMO if your going to try and fix it.. you might as well fix it for good.. instead of patching it and having to keep checking to see if it leaks or re-patch it when it leaks again..
I patched it and it is still leaking, so im just gonna wait til tuesday and bring it in to get a new one. I was jacking it up on the jack point in the front of the car in the middle, and the jack pushed forward and hit the hose thing. I dont know if it is a hose thoguht. It looks like one from the bottem bu there is no top to it. It is one the bottem of the radiator. So ill just have to get a new one.
