Default yet another R cam question

i am currently running the setup in my sig an want to ad a set of mild cams. really think of a set of R cams but am not sure. would just running a CTR intake cam an gsr exhaust be good or ITR exhaust? any input on the combination would be very helpful along with power expected also not sure if a upgraded valvetrain would be needed??

It really depends on what you want. If you just want something a little more than ITR/CTR, I would go with the skunk 2 stage 1s. They have more duration/lift than itr/ctr cams. I run the stage 1 skunks in my everyday driver and love them.Thease cams are easier to tune than larger cams. Pro 1s and regular stage 2s are also really good cams for everyday driving/racing!!

What are you tuning with?? If you can post your dyno sheet we can see where you are losing power!! With that setup even with the Ctr/Gsr cam combo, I think you should be seeing more power!!

i was thinking about doing a full valvetrain on skunk2 pro2s but now leaning towards something more civilized like R cams on a stock valvetrain.... o and tuning on a dyno jet with crome pro

I find it odd that you have an engine with so much potential, yet you're leaning towards leaving so much power on the table by not giving it cams.

Realistically, for you to build the engine like you have and not put decent cams in it makes little sense. If ease of tuning and reliability is what you're after, with good power, I would consider the RM M22x cams, S2S2 (not pro series), maybe even the BC IV cams as well. All will require valvetrain upgrades but considering what you've already done to the engine, it only makes sense.

You could maximise your power with more tuning effort using RM M22xx, S2 pro1 or 2 cams, BC V style cams. Just my thoughts...
