Default Cel 16 and 20 help!

Alright heres the story:

My buddy's got a ef 4dr and its just got d15 dual port on a pm5. Its been running good and the other his wife drove it and when she went to get back in the car it wouldnt crank. So she called us and we were like yea ok your retarded! So we ride out there thinking we would get there and it would crank up. To our surprise it didnt. So we hooked the jumper cables up to thinking maybe it just didn't have enough juice. Still know crank. So i pull the #1 plug wire off the spark plug and jam a screw driver in it to check for spark, held it to the chassis sparked off strong a couple time then the car cranked. So we turned the car off put the plug wire back on and nothing. So i check all the wires for spark and got nothing. Its got a brand new maybe just a month old dizzy with new cap coil and rotor. I noticed part of the metal deal on the rotor looked burnt and a couple spots on the plastic looked damaged or melted. So we go get another rotor and put it on nothing. We had another coil in the car so we changed it and nothing. So we pulled it back to the house that afternoon. Put a new battery on it and didnt crank still. So pulled #1 off to check spark and it cranked up again. (up to this point still no cels)

So we were like ok what ever we had some other cars we had to finish up that night. So the next day he goes to crank it up and still nothing a couple times and it cranks up. So i brought him another main relay to see if it was the problem. Seemed to work a couple cranks then the same thing. So i told him to splice into the ground for the main relay and reground it. Once again it seemed promising, but then went right back to the same thing. But now its throwing code 16 which is fuel injector code.

So i go over their today bearing a test light. We try to crank it and cranks second try. So i start with the car running and unplug the top injector plug and it stutters for a second then smooths back out. So i plug the top up and unplug the bottom same thing. So then we kill the car and i use the test light with the alligator clip on the positive battery post and check the ground signal wire from the ecu at the injector clip. The top one seemed to be getting a ground signal will turning the car over. So i move to the lower clip, and couldnt get a signal. So i move to the ecu at what is it, a1 and a3 and got a signal. So i was like ok we have a short in the harness. So we go back to the injector clip, now this time the car is running and we have a signal to the bottom injector but not the top. So we unplugg the top one and no change. plug it back up and unplug the bottom one and it dies. So in trial and error we tryed the top one for signal when it was running again and it got the ground signal but only when u opened up the throttle. To me this does not seem correct?

And it still only cranks every other couple times.?

Any ideas.

It also started throwing code 20 which is the electronic load detector sensor, which i dont know what or where is but, from what i have read on h-t it has no affect on power or the problems we are having.

Im sorry this was a novel i wrote just wanted to cover what all i have done.
so if you are not asleep by now.....please leave some info back.

Thanks for your time!
