Default popping out of gear?

my friends 99 ex is popping out of gear in 2nd and sometimes he cant even find 2nd. i was wondering if i got him some energy suspension bushings to go in that would it solve it? i have some off my 95 ex that im not using anymore cuz im in the middle of a b sereis swap, would those work for him?

i don't think its the shift bushings that is making it pop out of gear... something more serious me thinks.

i remember recently a thread where a guy had a similar problem, and bense said it was the countershaft bearing? (dont quote me, maybe he will chime in)

hmmn im hoping its something easy cuz i doubt he wants to pay a lot to get it fixed(even tho he can afford it) and im doing his timing belt/water pump in a month or so, so i was thinkin i could fix that too

could be a couple things. i would lean toward synchro. either way not going to be cheap if he has to pay someone to fix.

ew definitely not time for a new trans. you can fix syncros. if you can do it yourself it would definitely be cheaper than just up and buy a new tranny.

he had the tranny rebuilt by honda like less than like 2 years ago tops

then he must rip that car into second gear alot and suck at getting it in there. 2 years on a synchro is not normal life expectancy.

hmmn, that is kinda werid ill ask him more abou it tomorrow like what work he had done and what exactly is goin on but tht is whats happening im pretty sure
