zex dry kit *help with WOT switch*
whats up, first time in FI forum i think.
anyhow, i got the kit installed, no troubles, but once it came time to program the WOT tps switch it just aint working for me.
you are supposed to turn the key on, flip the switch to power the unit, push the button on the zex brain, light should light up solid red, hold thottle wide open for 10 seconds, release, and the zex brain should flash, red, green, off, red, green, off, and continue until you flip the arming switch back off. then should show solid green once arming switch is re-armed.
well, i can get it to go solid red, hold throttle, release throttle, and it flashed, red, off, red, off, red, off. and it wont do anything. its like its not learning my TPS curve.
i have the white wire coming off the brain hooked to the red/blue wire on the TPS, its the output voltage lead, and i have verified all the connection MANY times. still nothing.
now, here is the tricky part: if i turn the key on, arm switch, hit button on the zex brain, hold pedal, and then flip switch off before letting go of the throttle, it will activate at any slightest touch of the throttle, which would be a very bad thing.
my TPS is in perfect order, only thing that i can think might be a problem is that at WOT it only reads like 3.85volt. but i dont think the zex brain looks for a certain voltage, just the highest voltage while programming. so im stumped.
by the way, i can get it to work with a push button, and have been using it that way, just want to make it work correctly.
thanks in advance.

i know dry kits use a differenc controller than the wet kits, but the last 2 wet kits i did, the controller was bad.
are you tapped into the signal wire and not the reference wire? just a thought.

yeah, they use a differant brain since the wet kit doesnt use any kind of vacuum source as a referance like the wet kit.
i am tapped into the output lead of the TPS, not the referance lead. its the middle red/blue wire on the harness. im trying to get someone at zex tech line now.
