Okay so i just bought my car in january w/ 26000 miles on it. Now i just hit the point when i need to change my oil at 29000 and the main't req. light goes off when you start the car and blinks a couple of times then remains off until you start your car again. Sooo i changed my oil yesterday and it still goes off. I guess my question is, how do you reset it? And also does that mean the S has a main.t req. light for everytime you have to change your oil? thanks

 

you need to reset it...

put the key in the ignation

press trip button (its in cluster)

hold it (the trip button)

key on (accesories ON but engine is off) -still holding the trip button-

wait 20 sec or soo...

done

 

does that mean every 3k miles it will turn on the? if so thats pretty sweeet then.....thanks alot

 

not every 3 months... the light doesnt tells you to do an oil change...

thats the maintenance requirement light.. meaning, the full check up...
