This is what I've put on my 97' SH lude so far: Headers, Exhaust, Intake, Light weight fly-wheel, and an AFCneo. What are some good upgrades besides those that are under say $500?

 

Underdrive Pulleys (preferably by AEM)
Nitrous (50-shot, Zex kit)
Dyno Tuning

 

Depends on your goals.

What about suspension. Get some Koni yellow's with Ground control springs. Get a progress rear adjustable sway bar.

Perhaps invest in Hondata or Neptune for tuning.

Lighter wheels? Rota slips.

Conversion to manual tranny...

If you have $500, try to save some more and do something worthwhile.

 

He has an SH. So 1) It's already a 5 speed. 2) If he converts to OBD1, he loses ATTS. 3) Underdrive pulley's aren't really worth it.

Running a 50 shot wet kit isn't out of the question. It can be done, without any modification aside from 1-step colder plugs.

Look into suspension? I'm running Koni Yellows + Ground Controls and loving it.

 

For better tuning use Emanage to retain ATTS.. for 500 bones its hard to do much, i would say get underdrive pullies from UR, AEM ones suck, they are only accessory pullies and dont help anything, lightening your crank pulley can help. I would steer clear of nitrous in general unless you have a built motor.

 

Yeah I probably should look into doin something with my suspension. After all the car is 10 years old, I'd say it's about time. And yeah it's already a manual, besides you can do an automatic to manual conversion for under $500 unless you do it yourself and that's something I definitely couldn't do. haha

Na, spending it's funner. Hey what about a fuel regulator? My lude feels like it's on NOS when I have a full tank. Anybody had any good experiences with those?

haha tempting! But I just spent $404 on a clifford alarm system and I got a speeding ticket today and I just had my AFCneo installed...My tax return cannot come soon enough...
