Oil Pressure sensor??
where to put this for my gauge? its 1/8 npt. Can it be ran off the block adapter? Where else can it be put to get a goo oil pressure reading? I dont have the hole anymore where the oil sending unit went, it cracked and needed to be welded shut

becare about your stock oil pressure switch though..
its 1/8 bsp not a 1/8 npt </TD></TR></TABLE>
it screwed into my sandwhich plate with no problem unless its all 1/8 bsp

Your oil pressure sending unit for your oil pressure gauge should screw in no problem
your oil pressure switch for your dash idiot light will need an adapter to screw into the sandwich plate

be careful where you screw in the sensor, if its run directly off the block it tends to not like the engine vibrations and break at the threads. I have a ss line run from the block and the sending unit in a remote location.

agreeded.
This is definetly the preferred.
But the sandwich is the 2nd best way...
and as the original poster mentioned... having the sender mounted on the block actually screwed up the block. There are two reasons for this.
1.) the block it tapped with a 1/8 BSP thread (a different pitch than 1/8 NPT)
2) the vibrations wreak havok on the sender and threads.

my hole for the sending unit it is acutally cracked off and welded shut
so i had to put it on the sandwhich plate. it screwed in perfect so i guess ill just keep it there.
so i should just put my pressure sensor for my gauge on the sandwhich plate
