Default Open downpipe

If I were to ride around for a couple of days with my downpipe wideopen, not connected to the exhaust system, will this mess my turbo up. Just wondering becaus ethe flange on my downpipe dose not match up with the one my exhaust so I'm gonna have to take it a muffler shop so they can make them fit.
