how much should i advance my timing.
Generally, you shouldn't and can't if you've got a turbo. In most cases, you have to retard to timing to prevent detonation from grenading the engine. If you guys never retarded the ignition timing when you first put the turbo on the car, then it's probably still sitting somewhere b/w 14 to 16 degrees BTDC.
Hit up the FI forum and ask what kind of ignition timing values they use with their Drag III LS's. I can suggest asking DIRep972, he's also got a Drag-powered LS.
Go get a timing light and find out what it's at now before you regret the rest of your life.

advance timing on a turbo b18? are you crazy!
some people leave it at stock timing boosting only 5lbs. i retarded mine 1 degree. keep your timing retarded to 14-15 degrees just to be on the safe side. make sure youre running colder plugs too. bcpr7es11 NGK
