Searching for my first Honda. What to look for when buying used? EG/EK

1. be patient and dont buy on a whim. your car will come to you with time. and the one you missed out on will show up again
2. eg=rear fender edge, look for rust. ek=leaky rear hatch at corners, rubber at top of winshield right in the middle tends to lift up. and look at rear subframe you dont want to see any tearing there. and no starts caused by main relays is common on civics. but its an easy fix.
3. i didnt find my car until 4 months of searching/driving 3 hours+ dealing with idiots etc...and i ended up being patient and went from socal to michigan and bought a '92 si hatch no rust, garage queen from the original owner (75 year old lady) and drove back home $3,000 only has 94,350 miles, no grinds
4. i drove the car 400 miles and now its resting piecefully

if you happen to look into del sol's they have leaky roofs i had a 93 bought brand new seals from honda like 600 somethen for all 4 and it still leaked... just givin u a heads up

you definetly dont want a car with rust , I thought I only had rust on my quarter panels, I was sooo wrong alot of the bolts I took when replacing to a aftermarket suspension were seized and literally had to be torched off....so much time
