Default 3" exhaust piping?

I was wondering if anyone know who might sell oval shaped exhaust piping with the same inside area as 3" circular exhaust piping. Similar to the shape of a portion of the newer Nissan piping.

I don't think it would b/c it's still the same amount of area just in a different shape.

Oval piping has never once came into my mind until now.

Just think, u could get the same volume from a much shorther pipe, can any say GROUND Clearance?

Ya, I really dont see anyone spending that kind of money on oval piping. Especially if burns is the only place to get it conveniently. Burns **** has always been crazy overpriced.

i dont think it would make a huge difference, but on a tight bend i could see it making a difference. the only thing i'd ever use it for would be if i was building a big exhaust system to run under the axle.

Using 4" pressed down to 3" (giving the same volume) would probably be cheaper, and that includes the price of cheap harbor freight press.

Unless you run >5", ground clearance isn't an issue besides under the oil pan.

You had to post it on H-T didn't you. Here comes the new bandwagon. I can hear it now "Go oval or go home!"

Thanks to me I've opened up a new fad!

The whole reason I was wanting to know who had some was b/c I have a 3" 1 bend exhaust that goes under the gas tank and ground clearance is a bitch and oval piping under the gas tank would solve all my problems!
